Gaggle of Geese, Buckland Newton

Located near Buckland Newton, Gaggle of Geese is a charming pub that hosts an exciting lineup of events throughout spring and summer.  Their monthly pub quiz and open mic nights are always highly popular, and this year they've teamed up with Dorset Medieval Archery to let visitors experience the thrill of axe throwing.  They also host an annual music festival called the Gaggle Fest, a day of live music and delicious food held on Saturday 26th July.

 

Cerne Abbas Brewery

The Cerne Abbas Brewery is only a short distance away from our campsite, and this year it promises a summer of great entertainment.  Welcome the arrival of spring with a pint of Beltane Brew at the Cerne Abbas Giant on 1st May, and celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day on 11th May.  You can also enjoy regular live music and mouth-watering food from Papa Cheese on Saturdays.

 

Minterne House Easter Trails - 5th-25th April

A fun springtime activity that the whole family will enjoy!  Kids will love hunting for the hidden bunnies and Easter eggs as they explore the beautiful gardens of this striking country house.

 

Dorset Spring Show - 3rd-4th May

The Dorset Spring Show is a celebration of the region's agricultural life, featuring a range of exciting entertainment, decorations, and delicious food.  This not-to-be-missed event will be held at the Birch Lane Showground in Puddletown, easily accessible from Giants Head caravan site.

 

Dorchester Walking Festival - 10th-19th May

No visit to Dorset is complete without exploring its stunning landscapes, and the Dorchester Walking Festival offers the perfect opportunity to do just that.  Discover the rich history of the county and its peaceful country lanes.

 

Dorset Food & Arts Festival - 2nd August
